Meet The Doctors

Judith Wheeler DDS, FAGD

Dr. Judy is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (as a true OSU fan, she did her BSc in Agriculture there as well). She also has a law degree and Masters in Taxation from the University of Akron. Some people are education junkies!

She has practiced over thirty years, including private practice, Native American reservations, military events, and even correctional facilities. The common thread through all these experiences is providing the best quality of dentistry possible in a manner that shows she cares about her patients as if they are dear friends or close family members. This is a one of the many reasons Dr. Judy is such a complement to doctors Beth and Dave and the Sunbury Plaza Dental family.

Dr. Judy’s passion for excellence is demonstrated through her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This award is held by only 7% of general dentists and reflects deep commitment to high quality continuing education and leadership within her discipline. She is comfortable in all phases of general dentistry and is looking forward to broadening the already excellent range of services that have been offered at Sunbury Plaza Dental. She is looking forward to getting to know you and helping you with your dental health goals.

Outside of the office, Dr. Judy enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities including fly fishing, bicycling, hiking and spending time with her adult children. She values her Ohio community and looks for opportunities to serve whether through her church or other venues. She supports the arts locally in Columbus, including Ballet Met and Actor’s Theater. She also spends a significant amount of any remaining time pursuing her side hustle of sustainable farming and can spend way too much time talking about organic produce. Don’t get her started!

Dr. Brianna Finney

Hi, I am Doctor Brianna Finney aka Dr. Bri and I joined the Oak Lane Dental team in June. What brought me to this office is the amazing and adaptable team, courteous patients, and being close to home. I have really enjoyed these past few months and look forward to becoming part of the community in Tiffin and the surrounding area.

I was born and raised in New Washington, Ohio and am a 2010 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. My parents are Roger and Sally Durnwald. I got married last year to my husband, Chase and we have one dog, Boo.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a minor in Life Sciences from The Ohio State University. Following my undergraduate education, I decided to spend another four years in Columbus and stay at Ohio State to complete dental school. It’s safe to say I truly bleed scarlet and grey. Go Bucks!

The idea of becoming a dentist started at a very young age. It is a rewarding profession that allows me to work closely with each patient and to give back and change lives each day. I know that dental offices can be intimidating so I strive to make every experience for our patients as comfortable as possible to put them at ease.

As a general dentist, I am able to offer fillings, crowns and bridges, extractions, root canal therapy, dentures and partials, restorations of implants, Invisalign, Botox and whitening. Each patient is given a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan so that they receive excellent care. I especially enjoy educating patients and placing emphasis on oral hygiene and prevention.

The field of dentistry is growing exponentially which is why it is important to continue my education. I am dedicated to staying informed on the latest materials, technology, and techniques so that I can maintain a standard of excellence.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, boating on Lake Erie, camping, traveling, and crossing items off of my bucket list.

Dr. Ed Pantzlaff

Dr. Ed Pantzlaff is an experienced dentist in oral surgery. He spent four years at the oral surgery residency at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where he earned his MD and published numerous scholarly articles. He is a proud graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and completed his undergraduate degree at Northwestern College (Iowa). While at Northwestern College, he was a pitcher on the school’s baseball team.

As a devoted student, Dr. Pantzlaff presented the findings of his research at many renowned meetings, including those of the American Association of Dental Research, the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, and the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

In his free time, he enjoys spending a lot of time outdoors with his very energetic dog going on hikes, and jumping in lakes and streams. He has a flair for cooking a variety of different types of food and is open to trying any new recipes. He is a fan of tailgating and going to football, hockey, and baseball games.

Dr. Pantzlaff joined the practice because of our mutual commitment to provide terrific patient care in an environment of compassionate, dedicated, and fun-loving professionals.
