Patient Relations Coordinator
Our Public Face
Our Patient Relations Coordinators are key to ensuring a dental experience worth raving about. Coordinators are the first and final friendly faces seen by our patients, the voices they hear on the phone, and the advocates helping them with their scheduling, logistical, and financial concerns. Given the coordinator's closeness to the patients, the entire team relies on them to help find ways to improve the patient experience and understand the patients' individual and collective needs.
Coordinators are responsible for maintaining a superior patient experience from scheduling to check out. Their responsibilities include answering phones, distributing calls and messages, scheduling patients, maintaining the health of the practice schedule, welcoming patients and checking them in, communicating with medical staff of the patient's arrival and needs, updating (as needed) the patient's records, coordinating with hygienists and the doctor in the check out, resolving any issues or finding ways to delight patients before they leave, collecting payment for procedures or working with financial arrangements. Working with the office manager, coordinators can be responsible for additional administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining the office's supplies, ordering materials, billing insurance, and more. Opportunities exist for top performing team members to grow into office managers and other opportunities.
Given the public facing nature of this position at Oak Lane Dental, we look for outgoing and naturally happy individuals to fill this role.
